Set asilo - Kindergarten set

Un set per l'asilo (bavaglino più asciugamano) ricamato a punto croce per il mio nipotino, che ormai è già un bambino grande!!!
A cross-stitched kindergarten set (bib and towel) for my nephiew, who is already a grownup boy!!!

In puro stile RobyGiup, non mi sono limitata ad un colore solo ma ne ho scelti tanti diversi, dal blu al verde passando per l'azzurro, il grigio e il verde acqua
In pure RobyGiup style, I didn't choose one colour but I chose many different ones, from blue to green through light blue, gray and aqua

Ho trovato lo schema free di questo alfabeto su questo blog (è il quarto partendo dall'alto): mi piace perchè ha delle forme varie, alcune lettere inclinate ed altre no, è irregolare e non troppo serioso. E poi è disponibile in due dimensioni diverse, che per pura fortuna si adattano perfettamente al bavaglino, più piccolo, e all'asciugamano, leggermente più grande
I found the free pattern of this alphabet on this blog (it's the fourth from the top): I like it because it has varying forms, some letters bending on one side and others not, it's irregular and not too serious. Moreover it comes in two sizes that luckily fit perfectly the bib, smaller, and the towel, a bit bigger

Abbinamenti inattesi - Unexpected matches

Ormai avrete capito che io amo gli abbinamenti: ad esempio mi piace creare completi in cui la maglietta richiami il tessuto della gonna 
By now you know that I love matching creations: for example I like to realize outfits where the t-shirt recalls the same fabric of the skirt

oppure dei pantaloni
or of the trousers

creare abiti quasi identici per due sorelline, con solo un piccolo dettaglio di differenza per renderli entrambi unici 
to create quite identical dresses for two sisters, with just a detail different to make each of them unique

o ancora abiti per due amiche uguali ma con colori invertiti
or also dresses for two friends equal but with inverted colours

Mi piace anche creare accessori per bambini abbinati agli outfit (e già vi avviso che ne troverete diversi esemplari quando aprirò il mio negozio online in primavera!!!)
I love to create accessories for children that match the outfits (and of those you will see several when I'll open my online shop in spring!!!)

Ma c'era un abbinamento a cui ancora non avevo pensato. Eppure ce l'avevo sotto il naso! Sono due capi che avevo già realizzato in momenti diversi, bastava solo cambiare un colore, ma c'è voluta una richiesta su commissione per farmelo notare: perchè non abbinare a questa gonna con le fragole un bavaglino ricamato a punto croce sempre a tema fragole?! Ne avevo già ricamati diversi ma tutti con frutti rossi, eppure è bastato realizzarle in rosa su un bavaglino con i bordi verdi e voilà, l'abbinamento è servito! 
But there was a match I never noticed. And yet is was under my nose! They are two items I already realized in different moments, I just had to change one colour, but I needed a custom request to notice it: why not matching this strawberry skirt with a cross-stitched bib with strawberries?! I already embroidered some, but always with red fruits, yet it was enough to make them pink on a bib with green borders and here is the match!

Benvenuta Anna - Welcome Anna

Vi serve un'idea per un regalo per una bimba appena nata?! Potreste prendere spunto dal regalo di benvenuto per la piccola Anna, venuta al mondo pochi giorni fa! 
Do you need an idea for a present for a newborn girl?! You could take inspiration from the welcome present for little Anna, who came into the world few days ago! 


Per cominciare una torta di pannolini decorata con nastri e fiori nei toni del rosa. Sarà sicuramente utilissima alla neo-mamma! 
To begin, a diaper cake decorated with ribbon and flowers in pink shades. It will be really useful to the new-mum! 

Il decoro in cima è stato fatto seguendo il tutorial pubblicato qui, utilizzando nastri di organza e strisce di tulle. Per la torta ho utilizzato la stessa tecnica delle precedenti torte (link al video tutorial in questo post). 
The decoration on the top is realized following the tutorial published here, using organdi ribbons and tulle stripes. For the cake I used the same technique of the previous ones (link to the video tutorial in this post). 

Inoltre ecco un paio di bavaglini, che sono sempre utili! Uno ricamato a punto croce con un tris di golose fragoline
Moreover here are two bibs, that are always useful! One cross-stitched with a tris of tasty strawberries

e uno con un cagnolino, visto l'amore della sua mamma per i cani e in particolare per il suo bassotto. 
and one with a puppy, knowing the love of her mum for dogs and particularly for her dachshund. 

Chissà come il cagnolino avrà preso l'arrivo della bimba, speriamo non sia geloso!!! 

I wonder how the dog reacted to the arrival of the little girl, I hope it won't be jealous!!!

Bavaglini last minute - Last minute bibs

La piccola Cristina mi ha colta di sorpresa, nascendo con qualche giorno di anticipo (ok, in realtà sono io che ero spaventosamente in ritardo con la preparazione dei regali... lo ammetto...)
Little Cristina took me by surprise, coming into the world few days in advance (ok, actually it was me who was terribly late with the gifts fulfilment... I acknowledge it...)

Così ecco i tre bavaglini "last minute" ricamati in un paio di sere per poterli consegnare ai neo-genitori ancora in ospedale! 
So here are the three "last minute" bibs I embroidered in a couple of evenings to give them to the new parents while still at the hospital!

Due teneri coniglietti (gli stessi che ho ricamato su una coppia di asciugamani che ho in casa, e che mi accorgo ora di non aver mai fotografato...)
Two sweet bunnies (the same I embroidered on a couple of towels I have at home, and of which I just noticed I never took any picture...)

E per finire il classico bavaglino con la scritta "pappa", con le due "a" a forma di mela e con tre uccellini sulle "p", come qui e qui
And finally the classic one with the "pappa" ("baby food") word, with the two "a" like apples and three birds on top of the "p"s, like here and here

E speriamo che la piccola Cristina faccia la brava, mangi e soprattutto lasci dormire mamma e papà!!!
And let's hope little Cristina will be good, eat enough and most of all let her mum and dad sleep!!! 

Per un bimbo americano - For an american baby

Un regalo spedito pochi giorni fa negli Stati Uniti, un pensiero per essere vicina ad una mia carissima amica che vive là e che ha appena avuto il suo primo bimbo!!! Ora che finalmente il pacco è arrivato a destinazione posso mostrarvi il contenuto, non volevo rovinarle la sorpresa pubblicando prima le foto sul blog!
A present sent few days ago to the USA, just a thought to be close to a dear friend who lives there and who just had her first baby!!! 
Now that the parcel arrived to its destination I can show you the content, I didn't want to spoilt the surprise to the recipient by publishing the pictures earlier on the blog! 

Il tempo ultimamente è tiranno, tra tutti i preparativi del matrimonio, ma sono riuscita a ritagliare qua e là un po' di tempo per ricamare qualche bavaglino... 
Time is tyrant recently, among all the preparations for the wedding, but I managed to dedicate some time to cross-stitch soem bibs...

...per lavorare all'uncinetto un paio di scarpine da neonato tipo Superga... 
...to crochet a pair of newborn shoes Superga style...

...e per cucire un semplice giochino che il bimbo userà tra qualche mese (qui il tutorial)...

Due pecorelle per Leonardo - Two little sheeps for Leonardo

E con questo ho terminato la serie di bavaglini da ricamare per quest'inverno. Giusto in tempo per accogliere l'ultimo nato: Leonardo!
And with this I completed the list of bibs to cross-stitch this winter. Just in time to welcome the latest arrival: Leonardo! 

Una coppia di pecorelle (soggetto preso dal libro "Punto Croce Bebè", SEP Editrice, 1998) con alcuni fiorellini al centro e negli angoli per aggiungere un tocco di colore. 
A couple of little sheeps (subject from the book "Punto Croce Bebè", SEP publishing, 1998) with some flowers in the middle and in the corners to add a touch of colour.

Presepe in miniatura racchiuso in una sfera trasparente da appendere all'albero di Natale, realizzato con piccoli ritagli di stoffa, filo di metallo, muschio e qualche perlina. Il tutorial con le foto step-by-step lo trovate qui. 
Mini crib inside a transparent sphere to hang on the Christmas tree, realized with small fabric scraps, metallic thread, moss and some beads. Here the tutorial with step-by-step pictures.

Noci brillantinate, semplicissimo progetto di riciclo, da appendere all'albero di Natale o per abbellire qualche pacchetto regalo. Io quest'anno ne userò un sacco per decorare i pacchetti, ho già tenuto da parte tantissimi gusci! Le spiegazioni di come lo ho realizzate le trovate qui. 
Glittered nutshells, very simple recycling project, to hang on the Christmas tree or to decorate presents packaging. This year I'm going to use many of them on packages, I've already put aside lots of nutshells! Here the explanations how I realized them.

Another creative reciclyng project, this time we have cones with touches of white to simulate the snow, perfect to decorate the Christmas tree. Here the explanations how I realized this decoration.

Stelle di stoffa realizzate con stoffe a stampa natalizia e con un bello strass gigante al centro, anche queste possono essere appese direttamente all'albero oppure utilizzate come decorazione per i pacchetti regalo. Il tutorial lo trovate qui.
