Fiocchi di tulle - Tulle bows

Ecco, come promesso, il tutorial per realizzare i fiocchi di tulle in maniera semplice e rapida! Credetemi, avendo realizzato oltre un centinaio di fiocchi per l'allestimento dell'agriturismo, devo dire che questo sistema mi è stato davvero utilissimo! Sembrano tanti passaggi, ma una volta capito il sistema è rapido e preciso. 
As promised, here is the tutorial to make tulle bows in a simple and effective way! Believe me, having realized over one hundred bows for the agritourism decoration, I must say this system has been incredibly useful! They seem a lot of steps, but once understood the system it's very fast and precise. 

Questi fiocchi sono perfetti per decorare la casa in occasione della nascita di un bimbo, un Battesimo, feste di compleanno o per qualche occasione particolare ...e ovviamente anche per i matrimoni! 
These bows are perfect to decorate the house for the birth of a baby, a Christening, birthday parties o for some special occasion ...and obviously also for weddings! 

MATERIALE per un fiocco
40cm di tulle alto circa 280cm
30cm di fettuccia di cotone in tinta
forbice, ago, filo in tinta
un rettangolo di cartoncino largo 50cm 
matita e righello
MATERIAL for one bow 
40cm tulle, about 280cm high
30cm cotton ribbon in matching colour
scissors, needle, matching thread
cardboard rectangle 50cm wide
pencil and ruler

PROCEDIMENTO
con matita e righello tracciare una linea a metà del cartoncino (25cm) su entrambi i lato del cartoncino
PROCEDURE
with pencil and ruler draw a line in the middle of the cardboard (25cm) on both sides

prendete tra le mani il tulle in modo da formare un lungo cordone sottile
hold the tulle in your hands to create a long thin rope

individuate il centro della striscia di tulle e ponetela sopra alla linea a matita 
find the middle of the tulle rope and put it over the pencil line 

tenendo fermo il centro, fate fare alla parte sinistra del cordone un giro intero intorno al cartoncino in senso  (portatelo sul retro e poi di nuovo sul davanti)
keeping the middle fixed, wrap the left side of the rope once around the cardboard (take it to the back of the cardboard and then again to the front)

allo stesso modo, sempre tenendo fermo il centro del tulle fate fare un giro alla parte destra del tulle in verso opposto al precedente
in the same way, keep the middle fixed and wrap the right side of the tulle once around the cardboard in the opposite direction of the previous one

compattare i vari giri di tulle
compact the various tulle loops

con ago e filo cucite a lunghi punti attraverso tutti gli strati di tulle seguendo la linea a matita, lasciando sporgere un po il capo del filo 
with needle and thread sew in long stitches across all the tulle layers following the pencil line, leaving a part of the thread end sticking out

girate il cartoncino e cucite anche su questo lato, senza tirare il filo sul lato opposto
turn the cardboard upside down and sew also on this side, without pulling the thread on the other side

sfilate il tulle dal cartoncino 
remove the tulle from the cardboard

afferrate entrambi i capi del filo, tirate bene e legateli insieme 
hold both ends of the thread, pull well and tie them together

passate ancora qualche volta con ago e filo attraverso il tulle per fermarlo bene 
put the thread some more times through the tulle to fix it better

allargate le asole formate dal tulle e scegliete quale saranno fronte e retro del fiocco, in base al lato più bello
stretch the tulle loops and choose which will be the front and back side of the bow according to which is the better one

cucite la fettuccia di cotone sul lato posteriore del fiocco 
sew the cotton ribbon on the back side of the bow

ed il vostro fiocco è pronto per essere appeso! 
and the bow is ready to be hung!

Matrimonio 4: fiocchi di tulle - Wedding 4: tulle bows

Nel nostro matrimonio non è mancato un tocco handmade anche nell'allestimento dell'agriturismo: per distinguere ciascuno dei tavoli in base al colore ho realizzato tanti fiocchi di tulle da legare alle sedie, ovviamente un colore per ogni tavolo come da tableau marriage. 
In our wedding there was also a touch of handmade in the agritourism decoration: to distinguish the tables I realized many tulle bows to fasten to the chairs, obviously one colour for each table according to the tableau marriage.

Sullo sfondo si intravedono il rosso, l'arancione e il giallo, sulla sinistra il verde, al centro l'azzurro, l'indaco purtroppo non si vede perchè era più a destra, infine il lilla nel tavolo in basso a sinistra. Il tavolo degli sposi è quello dietro al tavolo azzurro, si vedono alcuni dei fiocchi bianchi sulla destra, mentre quello argento dei bambini è in fondo verso le vetrate, ma dalla foto non si vedono i fiocchi. 
On the background you can see the red, the orange and the yellow, the green is on the left, the azure in the center of the picture, the indigo unfortunately is not in the picture because it was more on the right, and finally the lilac on the bottom left. The bridal table is the one behind the azure one, you can see some of the white bows on the right, while the silver table of  the children is in the background near the glass doors, but the bows are not visible in the picture. 

Stessi fiocchi, solo leggermente più grandi, sono andati anche a decorare i banchi lungo la navata della Chiesa, in una sorta di arcobaleno che conduceva gli sposi verso l'altare: molto emozionante!!! 
Same bows, just a bit bigger, I realized also for the Church decoration, in a sort of rainbow that led the bride and groom to the altar: so touching!!!

In tutto ho realizzato un centinaio di fiocchi di tulle!!! Il nostro povero divano letto era completamente invaso! 
I realized about one hundred of tulle bows overall!!! Our poor sofa bed was completely overwhelmed! 

Per fortuna avevo elaborato un sistema rapido, altrimenti sarei diventata matta... Qui trovate il tutorial, come promesso! 
Luckily I developed a fast method, otherwise I would have gone mad... Here you can find the tutorial, as promised! 

Piccola curiosità: per i fiocchi argentati del tavolo dei bambini, dopo aver visto il prezzo del tulle argentato ed aver avuto un quasi infarto (mi hanno chiesto qualcosa come 25 euro/metro) ho deciso di utilizzare del normale tulle bianco (circa 4 euro/metro) e di tingerli poi con uno spray argentato. Un poco più laborioso ma molto più economico! 
One little curiosity: for the silver tulle bows for the children table, after seeing the price of silver tulle and risking a heart attack (they asked me something like 25 euros/meter) I decided to use simple white tulle (about 4 euros/meter) and then paint them with a silver spray colour. It took a bit more work but it was really less expensive!
