Orme per un bimbo - Paw prints for a boy

Spesso mi viene fatto notare che la maggior parte delle mie creazioni sono per bambine, mentre per i maschietti c'è poca scelta. Ebbene, da oggi c'è un capo in più per loro: una maglietta in bianco e arancione, con tante impronte feline dipinte a mano
Many people remarked that  most of my creations are for girls, while there are only few items for boys. Well, starting from today there's a new item for them: a white and orange t-shirt with lots of hand painted feline paw prints

La maglietta nella foto è stata realizzata per un bimbo con una passione per i leoni: siccome non sono molto brava a disegnarli ho pensato che le loro orme andassero comunque bene! Pare che il bimbo abbia apprezzato!
I made the t-shirt of the pictures for a boy who loves lions: since I'm not good at drawing them I thought their paw prints would be fine! It seems the boy appreciated it!

Un paio di novità con tante farfalle - A couple of news with many butterflies

Ciao a tutti! Chi mi segue su Facebook probabilmente avrà già visto nei giorni scorsi le due creazioni che sto per mostrarvi: un completino da bambina per la stagione fredda composto da scamiciato in denim color rosa pesca chiaro e una maglietta dolcevita a maniche lunghe bordeaux 
Hi all! Those of you who follow me also on Facebook probably already saw the two creations I'm going to show you: a girl outfit for the cold season composed of a pinafore dress in light peach pink denim and a burgundy turtleneck long sleeve t-shirt

L'idea è partita dallo scamiciato, avevo questo tessuto morbidissimo da un po' di tempo, a spina di pesce e dal tocco leggermente vellutato e mi sembrava perfetto per un abito dalla forma svasata. Poi come mio solito mi sono buttata sulle decorazioni: tre farfalle in velluto bianco panna, che ho cucito usando un filo a contrasto bordeaux, e due tasche applicate, anche queste con dettagli in velluto panna e filo bordeaux. 
The idea started from the pinafore dress, I had this soft fabric from asome time, it's a herringbone denim with a velvety touch and it looked perfect for an a-line dress. Then I dived head first into the decorations: three butterflies in off-white velvet, sewn with contrasting burgundy thread, and two applied pockets, again with velvet and burgundy details.

E da qui mi è venuta l'ispirazione per la maglietta: il colore del tessuto, morbidissimo jersey di cotone, è esattamente uguale a quello dei bordi delle farfalle! Ho poi aggiunto altre farfalle, stavolta dipinte a mano, così la maglietta è bella da indossare anche da sola. 
Here came the inspiration for the t-shirt: the color of the fabric, a very soft cotton jersey, is exactly the same of the butterflies borders! Then I added some butterflies here too, this time hand-painted, so the t-shirt is beautiful also when worn alone!

Lo scamiciato ha una vestibilità piuttosto comoda, così nei giorni più freddi si può indossare con sotto un golfino, mentre la maglietta ha una vestibilità aderente in modo da essere comoda senza impacciare.
The pinafore is loose-fitting to allow a light sweater under it in very cold days, while the t-shirt il close-fitting to be comfortable without hampering.

Magliette per due fratellini - T-shirts for two brothers

Eccomi di nuovo qui, dopo una breve pausa estiva!
Come sono andate le vostre ferie? Io sono rimasta a casa e ne ho approfittato per riposarmi, dedicarmi un po' alla casa (che di solito viene proprio trascurata, poverina...) e ovviamente anche per cucire un po'!
Here I am again, after a short summer break!
How were your holidays? I remained at home and took advantage of this time to relax, to take care of the house (that is usually neglected, poor house...) and obviously to sew a bit! 

Ecco come sono nate queste due magliette abbinate per una coppia di fratellini, uno nato da pochi mesi e l'altro di quasi tre anni: visto che ormai l'estate è quasi finita le ho realizzate in una taglia più grande, in modo che possano andare bene per l'anno prossimo
That's how I realized these two matching t-shirts for a couple of brothers, one born few months ago and the other who is quite three years old: since this summer is quite at the end I made them in a bigger size so they will fit the boys for next year

La maglietta più piccola, in taglia 18 mesi, è in cotone azzurro con bordi bianchi e tanti pesciolini dipinti a mano in bianco, blu e varie sfumature di azzurro
The smaller t-shirt, in size 18 months, is in light-blue cotton with white borders and several hand-painted fishes in white, blue and shades of light-blue
 

Su una spalla, tre piccoli bottoni a pressione bianchi rendono la maglietta molto comoda da far indossare al bimbo
On one shoulder, three small plastic snaps make the t-shirt very easy to put on to the baby

La maglietta più grande, in taglia 4 anni, è realizzata negli stessi tessuti ma al contrario: maglietta bianca con bordi azzurri. Anche qui troviamo tanti pesciolini in azzurro e blu
The bigger t-shirt, in size 4 years, is made in the same fabrics but opposite: white t-shirt and light-blue borders. Here too we find many fishes in light-blue and blue

Entrambe le magliette hanno la mia etichetta applicata sul fianco
Both t-shirts have my label applied on one side

Chissà come saranno orgogliosi i due fratellini, l'anno prossimo, di indossare due magliette abbinate!

Per un super bimbo - For a super boy

Il completino che vi mostro oggi mi è stato richiesto come regalo di compleanno per un super bimbo, un bimbo che sta combattendo dalla nascita contro tante difficoltà, problemi di salute, interventi, ma siccome lui è un super bimbo sta facendo grandi passi avanti ed ha appena festeggiato il suo terzo compleanno! 
The outfit I'm showing today was requested as gift for the birthday of a super boy, a boy who is fighting from his birth against many difficulties, health problems, surgery, but since he is a super boy he is making great progresses and just celebrated his third birthday!

Per questo mi è stato chiesto di dipingere sulla maglietta blu scura il simbolo di Superman, ma con l'iniziale del nome del bimbo al posto della "S" 
For this reason the request was to paint on the dark blue t-shirt the mark of Superman, but with the boy initial instead of the "S"

I pantaloni sono dei pinocchietti al ginocchio un po' larghi, tipo "rapper", realizzati in cotone arancione, con due tasche frontali e chiusura con bottoni a pressione arancioni
The trousers are knee length capris a little large, "rapper" style, made with orange cotton, with two front pockets and closed with orange snaps

in vita l'elastico con due bottoni per regolare la misura
At the waist the elastic band with two buttons to adjust the size

sul retro una tasca con dipinto lo stesso simbolo in blu scuro, per abbinarsi perfettamente alla maglietta
on the back a pocket where I painted the same sympol in dark blue, to perfectly match the t-shirt

Anche questo completo è stato consegnato dentro ad un sacchetto di tessuto personalizzato chiuso da un cordino di cotone, che può poi tornare utile ad esempio per riporre i giochi
Also this outfit was delivered inside a personalized fabric bag closed with a cotton cord, that can be useful afterwards for example to put away toys

Maglia con pesciolini - T-shirt with fishes

Ormai l'avrete capito, mi piace decorare le mie creazioni con soggetti stilizzati, soprattutto farfalle, fiori e pesciolini: trovo che diano un tocco unico ai capi per bambini, sono allegri, adatti ad essere realizzati con strass e ad essere dipinti a mano, permettono di giocare sulle sfumature di colore creando ogni volta un mix unico 
By now you should know, I like to decorate my creations with stylised shapes, mainly butterflies, flowers and fishes: I think they give a unique touch to children's garments, they're funny, fit to be realized with rhinestones and also hand painted, a good subject for playing with colour shades to create every time a unique mix

Eccoli ancora qui, stavolta si tratta di tanti pesciolini che sono andati a decorare una maglietta che mi è stata commissionata come regalo per il primo compleanno di un bimbo: il colore prescelto questa volta è l'arancione su sfondo bianco
Here they are again, this time many fishes that decorate a t-shirt that was requested  for the first birthday of a boy: the chosen colour was orange on white background

Un dettaglio dei pesciolini, in tante sfumature diverse: trattandosi di un maschietto ho evitato gli strass quindi tutti i pesciolini sono dipinti a mano con colori per stoffa, lavabili in lavatrice a 40°
A detail of the fishes, in many orange shades: being for a boy I avoided rhinestones therefore all the fishes are hand painted with fabric paint, machine washable up to 40°C 

La maglietta è realizzata in morbido jersey di cotone bianco, confortevole da indossare e pratico da lavare, i bordi sono rifiniti in jersey di cotone di un bell'arancione acceso
The t-shirt is made of soft white cotton jersey, comfortable to wear and easy to wash, the borders are finished with cotton jersey in a bright orange
