Devo dirvelo, sto attraversando un periodo parecchio impegnativo!
I must say, I'm living a quite challenging period!

Negli ultimi mesi alle novità pianificate, come l'apertura dello shop online, sono venute a sovrapporsi altre novità non previste sia legate all'attività creativa sia al lavoro "ufficiale" che mi hanno causato una bella dose di impegno e, diciamocelo, di stress...
In the last months the planned news, like the opening of my online shop, overlapped with some unplanned news both related to my creative activity and to the "official" job and this caused a great deal of commitment and, let's face it, of stress...

Qualche volta sento la tentazione di rallentare i ritmi, ma so che andrebbe a scapito solo della parte creativa e questo proprio non mi va, ora più che mai ho bisogno della mia valvola di sfogo, di vedere le creazioni che nascono dalle mie mani, di giocare con i miei amati colori!
Sometimes I feel the temptation to slow down my rithms, but I know that this will only impact the creative part and I don't like this idea, now more than ever I need my safety valve, I need to see creations taking life from my hands and to play with my beloved colours!

Un bel po' di creazioni sono uscite negli ultimi mesi dal mio laboratorio e parecchie sono attualmente in lavorazione, di cui alcune "top-secret" che non posso ancora mostrare sul blog, ma non vedo l'ora di completarle e non sto nella pelle all'idea di potervele mostrare!
A good deal of creations were born into my studio in the last months and many are currently in progress, of which some "top-secret" ones that I can't yet show on the blog, but I'm eager to complete them and can't wait to show them to you!

E' meraviglioso giocare con queste stoffe! E' il rimedio migliore contro lo stress!

Shorts con fragoline - Shorts with strawberries

Ogni tanto devo ricordarmi che le bimbe non vivono solo di gonne e abiti! 
Sometimes I need to remember that girls don't wear only skirts and dresses!  

Solitamente tendo a realizzare magliette e pantaloni, lunghi o corti, solo per i maschietti, mentre alle bimbe riservo capi decisamente più femminili. Ma stavolta questa bellissima stoffa con stampa di fragoline rosa mi ha ispirata per una creazione un po' diversa: 
Usually I tend to realize t-shirts and trousers, long or short, only for boys, while I destine to girls more feminine garments. But now this wonderful fabric with pink strawberries inspired me a different creation: 

Un paio di shorts da bimba in cotone piquè con dettagli rosa acceso: finti risvolti sul fondo con piccole alette laterali

Gli shorto sono chiusi in vita con bottoni a pressione in tinta, inoltre un morbido elastico ad occhielli con due bottoni permette di regolare la misura in modo semplice e veloce 
The shorts are fastened at the waist with snaps in matching colour, moreover an elastic band with eyelets and two buttons allow you to adjust the size in a fast and easy way

Per un super bimbo - For a super boy

Il completino che vi mostro oggi mi è stato richiesto come regalo di compleanno per un super bimbo, un bimbo che sta combattendo dalla nascita contro tante difficoltà, problemi di salute, interventi, ma siccome lui è un super bimbo sta facendo grandi passi avanti ed ha appena festeggiato il suo terzo compleanno! 
The outfit I'm showing today was requested as gift for the birthday of a super boy, a boy who is fighting from his birth against many difficulties, health problems, surgery, but since he is a super boy he is making great progresses and just celebrated his third birthday!

Per questo mi è stato chiesto di dipingere sulla maglietta blu scura il simbolo di Superman, ma con l'iniziale del nome del bimbo al posto della "S" 
For this reason the request was to paint on the dark blue t-shirt the mark of Superman, but with the boy initial instead of the "S"

I pantaloni sono dei pinocchietti al ginocchio un po' larghi, tipo "rapper", realizzati in cotone arancione, con due tasche frontali e chiusura con bottoni a pressione arancioni
The trousers are knee length capris a little large, "rapper" style, made with orange cotton, with two front pockets and closed with orange snaps

in vita l'elastico con due bottoni per regolare la misura
At the waist the elastic band with two buttons to adjust the size

sul retro una tasca con dipinto lo stesso simbolo in blu scuro, per abbinarsi perfettamente alla maglietta
on the back a pocket where I painted the same sympol in dark blue, to perfectly match the t-shirt

Anche questo completo è stato consegnato dentro ad un sacchetto di tessuto personalizzato chiuso da un cordino di cotone, che può poi tornare utile ad esempio per riporre i giochi
Also this outfit was delivered inside a personalized fabric bag closed with a cotton cord, that can be useful afterwards for example to put away toys

Maglia con pesciolini - T-shirt with fishes

Ormai l'avrete capito, mi piace decorare le mie creazioni con soggetti stilizzati, soprattutto farfalle, fiori e pesciolini: trovo che diano un tocco unico ai capi per bambini, sono allegri, adatti ad essere realizzati con strass e ad essere dipinti a mano, permettono di giocare sulle sfumature di colore creando ogni volta un mix unico 
By now you should know, I like to decorate my creations with stylised shapes, mainly butterflies, flowers and fishes: I think they give a unique touch to children's garments, they're funny, fit to be realized with rhinestones and also hand painted, a good subject for playing with colour shades to create every time a unique mix

Eccoli ancora qui, stavolta si tratta di tanti pesciolini che sono andati a decorare una maglietta che mi è stata commissionata come regalo per il primo compleanno di un bimbo: il colore prescelto questa volta è l'arancione su sfondo bianco
Here they are again, this time many fishes that decorate a t-shirt that was requested  for the first birthday of a boy: the chosen colour was orange on white background

Un dettaglio dei pesciolini, in tante sfumature diverse: trattandosi di un maschietto ho evitato gli strass quindi tutti i pesciolini sono dipinti a mano con colori per stoffa, lavabili in lavatrice a 40°
A detail of the fishes, in many orange shades: being for a boy I avoided rhinestones therefore all the fishes are hand painted with fabric paint, machine washable up to 40°C 

La maglietta è realizzata in morbido jersey di cotone bianco, confortevole da indossare e pratico da lavare, i bordi sono rifiniti in jersey di cotone di un bell'arancione acceso
The t-shirt is made of soft white cotton jersey, comfortable to wear and easy to wash, the borders are finished with cotton jersey in a bright orange

Gonna estiva con ciliegie - Summer skirt with cherries

Siete pronti per la bella stagione?! La primavera è sempre più calda e l'estate è in arrivo!

Torta salata con zucchini e salmone affumicato - Zucchini and smoked salmon savory cake

Oggi è il mio compleanno!!! 
Today's my birthday!!! 

Così ho pensato di condividere la ricetta di una torta... ma siccome io preferisco il salato al dolce, si tratta di una torta salata! E' uno dei miei piatti forti, la realizzo spesso quando abbiamo ospiti a cena, come antipasto, e devo dire che riscuote sempre un grande successo: parecchie amiche dopo averla assaggiata mi hanno chiesto la ricetta!
Therefore I decided to share with you the recipe of a cake... but since I prefer savory to sweet, this is a savory cake! It's one of my best dishes, I often prepare it when we have guests for dinner, as starter, and it always wins great success: many friends after tasting it asked me the recipe!

Per la pasta:
200g farina (io ne ho usata circa 80g integrale e 120g normale)
45g olio extra vergine di oliva
mezza bustina di lievito per torte salate(circa 8g)
un pizzico di sale
acqua qb (in genere circa una tazzina e mezza)
For the dough: 
200g flour (I used approx 80g whole wheat flour and 120g white flour)
45g extra virgin olive oil
half sachet of yeast for savory cakes (approx 8g)
a pinch of salt
water as required (usually less than half a glass)

Per il ripieno:

3 zucchine grandi (o 4 medie)

100g salmone affumicato

aglio e prezzemolo

100g ricotta

1 uovo

For the filling: 
3 big zucchini (or 4 medium)
100g smoked salmon
garlic and parsley 
100g ricotta
1 egg

In una ciotola mescolate entrambe le farine, olio, sale e lievito, poi aggiungete acqua un po' per volta fino a che non riuscite a lavorare bene l'impasto (io preferisco che l'impasto sia abbastanza morbido così non faccio fatica a stenderlo!)

In a bowl mix both kind of flour, oil, salt and yeast, then add water a bit at a time until you can easily knead the mix (I prefer the dough to be quite soft so it's less hard to spread it!)

Lasciate riposare l'impasto coperto da uno strofinaccio, nel frattempo tagliate le zucchine a fettine e le faccio trifolate con olio, aglio e prezzemolo tritati. Lasciatele intiepidire e poi unite ricotta e uovo
Let the dough rest under a dishcloth, meanwhile cut the zucchini into slices and cook them in a pan with with oil and chopped garlic and parsley. Let them cool and then add the ricotta and egg

Appena il ripieno è pronto, stendete la pasta in un cerchio e mettetelo in una tortiera (io ne uso una di silicone quindi non ho bisogno di ungerla), stendete in fondo uno strato di fettine di salmone affumicato e coprite con il mix di zucchine. Infornate a 180°C per circa 35 minuti

As soon as the filling is ready, spread out the dough into a circle and put it into a cake pan (I use a silicone one so I don't need to grease it), cover the base with the salmon and cover with the zucchini mix. Oven cook for 35 minutes at 180°C
