No, luckily I didn't find mouses on the train yet, during my commuter trips!!! The title refers to the subject of a new cross-stitched bib!
Here it is, a mouse that drives a supply train!
I took the locomotive from the DMC site while the wagons are drafted by myself, very stylized because of the lack of time...

are perfect either using a one-colour thread, maybe metallic, or using a
shaded mulinè thread, or even using a white thread over coloured fabric.

Chiudipacco perduti - Lost gift tags
Oh mamma! Mah...
Oh my! I was writing a post to share with you some cross-stitch patterns that I created years ago for some Christmas gift tags and I realized that I never published the pictures of those tags!!! Yet I was sure... Maybe the post went lost during the migration from Splinder to Blogger? No idea...
Anyway, here they are! The size of the tags is about 3,5 x 4,5 cm and the patterns are all created by myself except the cherubs and one of the snowflakes, that I found in internet.
Typical Christmas subjects: snowflakes, I realized many different snowflakes but I took pictures of only two of them
(The pattern of the snowflake below is taken from here)
Pupazzi di neve
Snowmen
Agrifoglio
Holly
Alberelli di Natale
Mini Christmas trees
Angioletti (presi da qui: fiodameada.com.br)
Cherubs (from here: fiodameada.com.br)
E vari altri soggetti...
And other various subjects...

Bavaglino con delfino - Bib with dolphin
Another cross-stitched bib: there's another baby arriving in December, to be more precise he's expected for the 12/12/12! All boys in this period!
This time the subject is a dolphin with some waves: I downloaded the pattern years ago from the DMC site (if you register to the DMC Club you have access to the section "Free Projects") but I realized it with some different colours to use the moulinè threads that I already had at home.
Anche questo ricamato in treno, ovviamente! :)
This too cross-stitched on the train, of course! :)

VeniceMarathon 2012
I'm back from Venice, where I followed my boyfriend who entered the VeniceMarathon!
I really admire all the athletes who entered it, I don't know how they were able to run the marathon with such a weather, cold, icy wind, all the course against the wind and also under the rain!

Quindi complimenti a tutti!!! (ma soprattutto al mio moroso! ♥)
Therefore congratulations to everybody!!! (but most of all to my boyfriend! ♥)
And here is a souvenir photo: I took with me my old rain boots but after staying in the water up to the ankles for some times they began to let the water in, so I had to buy new boots and socks, I couldn't stay in that cold weather with soaked feet! Here they are!

Fiocco ricicloso - Recycled bow
completamente riciclato!
Here is a way to use ribbon leftovers and selvages: you can realize a nice multicolour bow like the one on top of the diaper cake for my nephew! I realized it with the leftovers of the satin and organdi ribbons of the Welcome Baby wreath and the selvage of the fabric for the ring sling. Well, it's a colourful and happy decoration and completely recycled!

It's fast and easy to realize, I took some pictures while making it, to create a small tutorial.
Occorrente:
pezzi di nastro e cimosa in vari colori e materiali
avanzi di cartoncino da disegno
forbici
ago e filo
colla a caldo
Materials:
ribbon leftovers and selvadge in several colours and materials
cardboard leftovers
scissors
needle and thread
hot glue gun
First I cut the ribbons and selvage in pieces about 10cm long.
I threaded the needle and made a knot leaving about 5cm of thread free.
Ho piegato i nastri a metà e li ho infilati con l'ago come mostrato in foto.
I folded the ribbon/selvadge pieces in half and threaded them with the needle as shown in the picture.
I inserted all the pieces, alternating colours (I used about 15 pieces, even if in the picture there are less).
Once completed, pull the thread and you will have a nice bow! Knot the thread with the free end left at the beginning, to keep everything in place.
Finally I cut a circle from the cardboard leftover. The space in the centre of my diaper cake was about 5cm, so I cut a circle of 6cm in diameter to make it stay stuck when pressed inside the diaper cake centre.
I glued the bow in the centre of the cardboard circle using the hot glue gun and placed it inside the cake.
Che ve ne pare?! :)
Do you like it?! :)
