Pesciolini - Fishes

Here is the project for my sister, completed despite of the problems with the sewing machine (updates on this topic in the next post...)

They are cutlery holders with fish shape, my sister bought six of them in three different colours during one of her travels (white with red seams, yellow with light green seams, dark green with yellow seams) and asked me to sew other six fishes, two for each colour, to match her colourful set of glasses!

She didn't specify the fabric colours, the only request was that the thread of the contrasting seams would match the colour of the three glasses still without fish, so blue, purple and orange.

These cutlery holders are really easy to realize: draw a stylized shape of a fish, as simple as possible, of the same length of the cutlery and wide at least 3 cm more than the fork and knife put side by side. Cut two shapes out of fabric, place them right side together and sew all around, leaving the "tail" side open. Turn it inside out and sew all around with zig-zag in contrasting thread, always leaving the "tail" open. Add a button as "eye" and another zig-zag seam across both fabric layers to draw the fish "head".

Non creano un bell'insieme?!?!
Aren't they wonderful together?!?!
